Sir,

Let me congratulate All India Association for Advancing Research of Obesity (AIAARO) for the publication of the inaugural issue of the Journal of Obesity and Metabolic Research, on the occasion of the Annual Conference. The authors, reviewers and the editorial team need to be complimented for pioneering the journal. JOMR will definitely add pragmatic approach to the management of obesity and metabolic disorders, based on the current research advances in the field. The problem of childhood obesity is indeed a great challenge in India, as emphasized in the first Editorial. The clinical and basic studies on childhood obesity published in JOMR will certainly enhance the awareness about the problem. The evidence-based studies would provide guidelines for the management. JOMR will be a significant educative medium for the faculty, consultants, and students. The members of AIAARO need to contribute articles to enhance the excellence of the journal. The culinary section, a unique feature, distinguishes JOMR from other journals in the field.
